Naomi is almost 21 months old right now. We don’t know how much she weighs, but it feels like no more than 20 lbs. When Craig and I have our visits at the orphanage, it is the same room where we met Scotty. They have a small ball pit there. On our 2nd trip for Scotty, he was 14 months old. He would power walk over to the ball pit, no need for encouragement, diving in head first and start wallowing around like a man mad. When he wanted to get out he’d just dive out head first. This is where I made my start with Scotty; I’ve been trying to keep him alive, with as few head injuries as possible ever since. Craig loves Scotty’s zest for life. Naomi does not seem quite so rambunctious, we hold hands as we walk to the ball pit, she seems to prefer Papa to help her in, and she just sits and gently plays with the balls. When it’s time to get out, she raises both hands, to gesture she’d like a little help getting out, Craig and I just laugh. I wonder if this is what some girls are like. I wonder how she’ll like having two older brothers? She’s going to love it!

Tomorrow we will visit Naomi in the morning, and then go with Nastia to see about those hockey tickets! Then go out to lunch. We’ve eaten all meals in our apartment so far it sounds good to us.
Naomi is really getting use to us now. She seems to remember us, and the toys and books we bring. She loves to flip page with a serious face in the little board books we brought. We’ve played a game where Craig holds a block up to his ear, pretends he’s on the phone, and says,”hello.” She imitates us, but we think it’s amazing that she follows his lead and holds a block up to her ear and says pretty clearly, ”hello.” I think she’s going to learn English really fast.

She is interested in pretty much anything, I brought bubbles to blow. She tries to blow bubbles too, it’s cute!
We’ve been calling mom and dad on Skype nearly every day. If you’re not familiar we both have web cams so we can see the boys and Granny and Gramps, and they can see us. My dad took this picture of their laptop while we were talking on Skype, and then emailed it to us. Isn't that funny?
