Welcome Naomi Elizabeth Lorence!!
Court was sucessful today and we now have a daughter in the family!! It only took 30 minutes for the hearing but it was exciting and stressful all at once. Kitty and I studied our dossier and practiced our answers to potential questions for two days. We heard from other successful families staying in the same building as us the questions they were asked in court and wanted to be ready. As you can imagine, I had some fun with being the judge who asked the questions while Kitty responded. I needed to take the edge off Kitty and make her laugh a bit. She did great in court. It was the same judge as when we adopted Scotty. She and the prosecutor asked me question after question after question. I sat down and then it was Kitty's turn. The judge asked Kitty a couple questions and that was it for Kitty. I felt this was a good sign for us and sure enough we now have a daughter. We will now pick up Naomi in the morning and bring her back to our apartment. Tonight is the last night she will sleep in the orphanage - Yeah!!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!!! Congrats ... best news we have had all day. I hope Naomi knows what she has gotten herself into! :-) Seriously, though, she is blessed to now be in the Lorence family. Safe travels home! We miss you.. Your 3M family.

You missed a cold weekend here!!
Everyone surprised me with a "Doctorate Classes Finale" party last Sunday at Chammps in New Brighton!! I was so shocked when Alb and the girls brought me out to dinner to celebrate my last class being over, and when I walked in the entire Lorence crew was there, with the exception of you guys, of course!!! We had a great dinner...but we all talked about your great blog, and wondered how it was going! Well, today we all got your excellent news. Kathy is in Zurrich, and I think Bob and Marlene are headed to London this week too! But, I am sure everyone is checking your updates daily!!! Let us know your homecoming plans!!!
